The new Tudor Pelagos FXD watch is a tribute to the decades of Tudor watches on the wrists of US Navy divers. The US Navy issued Tudor diving watches for decades from the late 1950s, which were famously used by the SEAL teams till the late 1980s. Complete with fixed strap bars, a 42mm titanium case, a high-performance Manufacture Calibre and a unidirectional elapsed-time rotating bezel, the new Pelagos FXD continues the connection between Tudor and US Navy divers.

TUDOR has once again chosen to join forces with the French Navy (also known as the Marine nationale), continuing a relationship that dates back to 1956. The Pelagos FXD model is aesthetically inspired by the TUDOR divers’ watches historically used by the French Navy, while staying true to the specific requirements of the method known as “underwater navigation”, one of the specialities of combat swimmers.

Ambassador

Its navy blue dial and characteristic Snowflake hands increases the intensity of the luminescence of its watches in poor light conditions, while its rotating bezel features a large bezel ring that allows for optimum grip, even in underwater conditions. To highlight the official collaboration between Tudor and the French Navy, its case back bears the logo of the Marine nationale brand composed of an anchor topped with a sailor’s hat, as well as a historically inspired engraving of the initials “M.N” and its year of issue.
