The Super Chronomat, Breitling’s most daring Chronomat to date, is the ultimate choice for those looking for a timepiece that strikes the perfect balance between sturdy and stylish. Drawing inspiration from the Frecce Tricolori watch that was created by Breitling in 1983 for the hotshots of the Italian Air Force’s aerobatic fleet, the Super Chronomat is a supercharged, all-purpose sports watch that’s tough enough for any activity, yet elegant enough for the evening.
The sapphire crystal is protected by rider tabs, just like the original Chronomat. The ones at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock are interchangeable, allowing the wearer to use them for both countdowns and countups. The Super Chronomat collection is the most daring of its kind, with a 44-millimeter case. A stainless-steel bezel with a ceramic insert – a first on a Chronomat – and the option of a Rouleaux-inspired rubber strap or Breitling’s iconic metal strap with a butterfly clasp are among the key new features. The new rubber strap is made using state-of-the-art injection molding techniques. Its three distinct textures – matte, slick, and woven-looking – add to its depth.
