Schwarz Etienne Geometry
In 2023, Schwarz Etienne unveiled the GEOMETRY, a model masterminded by acclaimed designer, Eric Giroud. At first glance, the dial appears orderly with its array of finishes, including fluted lines, azuré, clous de Paris and fine sandblasted sections. However, closer examination reveals the path of the numerous arcs and ridges are displaced or skewed. Is there a hidden meaning? However, irrespective of the dial’s meaning, one thing is certain, the GEOMETRY is captivating to behold. The GEOMETRY is presented in a polished stainless steel case measuring 39mm in diameter. An exhibition case back grants sight of the Manufacture automatic movement, the calibre ASE 200.02, equipped with a micro-rotor. Lancine-style hour and minute hands encircle the 18k hand-guilloché dial, articulating the prevailing time. The nuanced detail of the dial’s epidermis comes to the fore with the arcs and ridges coaxing light to a greater or lesser extent. The resultant dial is a seemly blend of light and shade.
