With Sincere’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations anchored in the theme of “A New Era,” the butterfly was chosen as a symbol of new beginnings. The Compliquée Butterfly Tropics Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition
Encased in an 18k rose gold case adorned with 1.83 carats of sparkling brilliant-cut diamonds, the Fabergé Compliquée Butterfly Tropics Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition is a masterpiece of horological artistry. Adding to its allure, the watch features an exquisite mother-of-pearl hour ring that frames a hand-painted orchid in a mesmerizing gradient of purple. Perched delicately on the orchid is a butterfly, masterfully painted in elegant shades of blue and black. Hours are displayed via a numbered mother-of-pearl ring that rotates counterclockwise around the winding crown at three o’clock. Minutes are indicated by the position of the butterfly’s wings, which unfurl each hour and return to zero only when the leading wing reaches 60, creating a dynamic scene as time unfolds on the wearer’s wrist.
In this manually wound movement, the butterfly’s wings move independently, at varying speeds, each fanning out to indicate the minutes. This hourly cycle transforms the passage of time into scenes of ephemeral beauty, reflecting the innovative and imaginative spirit of Peter Carl Fabergé, who envisioned his creations to be both emotive and captivating.
This extraordinary timepiece is paired with a striking turquoise alligator strap, which adds a vibrant splash of color to the watch.
