The Chronomètre FB 1RES.3 Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition is powered by the Calibre FB-RES.FC, an intricate movement combining a fusee-and-chain transmission with a one-second remontoire. Offering a 50-hour power reserve, this sophisticated chronometric complication maintains consistent energy transmission from the barrel to the escapement, ensuring precision and reliability in timekeeping. It utilises a spring positioned between them to temporarily store a small amount of energy, releasing its charge frequency in one second intervals to the balance. The large central seconds hand beats off this precise sequential impulse — a feature known as a true-beat or deadbeat seconds mechanism, enabled by the “remontoir d’égalité” via an intermediate wheel. The deadbeat seconds complication enhances the timepiece’s accuracy, a true mark of Ferdinand Berthoud’s horological legacy.

The Chronomètre FB 1RES.3 Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition features a unique satin-brushed salmon dial, crafted from gilded 4N nickel-silver and encased in a 44mm platinum octagonal case—an exclusive combination for Sincere. Adorned with elegant dagger-shaped hour and minute hands in 18-carat gold, its technical design showcases a harmonious arrangement of bridges and a mainplate, with a broad opening from 3 o’clock to 6 o’clock that reveals three bridges converging at the center of the dial.
The satin-brushed salmon dial, along with the mainplate and the nickel-silver bridges mounted on stylised stainless-steel pillars, have been skeletonised and decorated to enhance the visibility of the exceptional mechanism. Hand-bevelled and polished angles span a total length of two meters, requiring over 250 hours of finishing. This meticulous attention to detail underscores the brand’s dedication to preserving fine watchmaking traditions. Each wheel, bridge and screw is entirely hand-decorated, and an impressive level of manual finishing has been applied to reveal the beauty of each component.
