Gem-setting on PVD-coated components is a highly complex process that requires more effort than on regular precious metals. The additional step of treating the stones in a specific way before and after setting them in place has been taken by Franck Muller in order to achieve this look – a small price to pay for perfection. To further accentuate the alluring beauty of the black gem-set case, each of the five versions of the Vanguard Rose Skeleton Black Diamonds have hand painted enamel varnish displays in five different bold hues, paying tribute to the lively colours we see in nature.
