BOVET is a special House, unique in the industry. We do as much as we possibly can in-house, more than 95%, and we are constantly fine-tuning every step of the production process. The human touch is extremely important to BOVET and it impacts everything throughout the journey a timepiece makes in our facilities. You will never find an assembly line at BOVET, something of which we are very proud.
The BOVET origin story is one of bravery and the triumph of the will of one watchmaking family – the Bovets of Fleurier, Switzerland. BOVET was born in 1822 in three places: Fleurier; London; and Guangzhou. From overwhelming success in China, BOVET expanded all over the world. BOVET’s owner Pascal Raffy honors this amazing tradition while focusing on modernity and pushing high watchmaking forward.
All of BOVET’s manual-wind movements are conceived and produced in house, including the spiral and regulating organ. BOVET has mastered many complications — tourbillons, perpetual calendars, world timers, jump hours, and grand complications. Every component is hand-finished and hand-decorated by BOVET’s artisans. In addition, BOVET concentrates on long power reserves, from 5 days to 22 days.
BOVET, under Mr. Raffy’s stewardship, has won more than 40 modern awards, including the highest honor from the GPHG, as well as awards for Calendar and Astronomy, Mechanical Exception, Best of the Best Watch of the Year, Dial Innovation, Brand of the Year, Lifetime Achievement for Mr. Raffy, Best Design, Best Classical Watch, Innovation, Grande Complication, Ladies Watch, and many more.
