The Montblanc 1858 Collection

The Montblanc 1858 Collection is inspired by the adventurous world of mountain exploration. Reinterpreting the Minerva pocket watches and chronographs from the 1920s and 1930s, the Montblanc 1858 timepieces honour the spirit of the past while embodying the modern trend of returning to nature. These watches from the beginning of the 20th century were highly accurate, legible and robust for use in extreme conditions. Dedicated to the world of mountain exploration, the 1858 collection turns blue to pay homage to one of the most extreme challenges an explorer is likely to face – arctic and glacier ice.

The design codes of the Montblanc 1858 Collection are  rooted in the spirit of mountain exploration that are reminiscent of the original Minerva chronographs from the 1930s. Satin-finished cases that present horns polished with beveled edges,  fluted crowns that recall those on period timepieces, and domed sapphire crystal glass.

The Montblanc 1858 collection features a Geosphere complication of two domed globes that complete a full rotation in 24 hours, a retro 1858 Automatic Chronograph,  1858 Monopusher Chronograph Limited Edition  and a striking 1858 Split Second Chronograph Limited Edition completes the line-up.
